Educational Programming
Educator Workshop, Classroom Visit, and Family Event

A Voyage Community can also purchase extended programming as a one-time event, or on an ongoing basis, through the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education's Journey through the Universe initiative.

Programs are delivered by Center educators and space scientists, and a national team of scientists and engineers representing Earth and space science research organizations across the nation.

Journey through the Universe programming in a single community includes:

  • Classroom presentations for typically 3,000, and up to 10,000 grade K-20 students.
  • Events for public and family audiences for 200 to 2,000.
  • Professional development workshops for up to 200 teachers, that can target specific grade levels, or be delivered K-13.
  • Programs for community-based organizations, e.g., a rotary club, retirement community, hospital, astronomy club.
